Applied & live
Bucket A · pushed June 12
Unambiguous copy edits from the doc. These are done across index.html, about.html, and healing-groups.html and are live on the preview site.
Wording & correctionsLive
- Robert's heritage corrected to Iñupiaq Eskimo everywhere (was Yup'ik / Iñupiat)
- Travel modes now include road — "by road, plane, boat, and snowmachine" (5 places)
- Prayer Warriors capitalized; "those who could not attend" (couldn't make it); prayer covers each group "before it begins and once it closes"
- "beginning the journey of forgiveness" (forgiving others)
- HWT description: "deep wounds like grief, loss, and pain… Healing takes place rooted in God's Word and love for us" (Held in the safety of community)
- "A small group program based on God's Word, led by Native facilitators…" (A Bible-based small group program…)
- Haskell: "A Bible study. A conversation. A meal. A reminder…"
- "Held on reservations, in villages, cities, and online"
- "Sessions offered at reservations…" (Sessions reach…)
- About: "Love Is an Action, Not just an Emotion." + "breadth of Native communities we serve, continuing the relational… nature of the work"
- "Regularly scheduled sessions in Alaska, Montana, online, and more" (Sessions in Fairbanks, Winnebago…)
- Donation: "$100 sponsors a participant to attend a healing group — all 6 sessions"
- Mailing address added: "15350 W Capitol Drive, Brookfield, WI 53005" (Call (262) 439-5663 for mailing address)
- First homepage testimonial wrapped in quotation marks; Roberta's Stories of Transformation quote reworded per the doc
- New pull-quote added to the homepage Healing the Wounds of Trauma section: "Can you imagine what it would be like if all our communities could be that helper to one another…" placement can be moved
- Tribe count 574 → 575 (carried over from the June 11 Federal Register update)
Need a quick yes
Bucket B · factual calls
Held back only because they change a factual claim or a spelling. Confirm and I'll apply in minutes.
- FactReframe Haskell "students from 130+ tribes" → "students representing 575 tribes"? (4 places) The doc asks for this throughout. It shifts the meaning from "students come from 130+ tribes" to "all 575" — defensible as mission reach, but worth Robert's sign-off before it goes live.
- ResolvedRoberta's traditional name — spelling confirmed. now "Kitigruq" everywhere Roberta confirmed the correct spelling is Kitigruq (source: Jesus and the Eskimo, Fred Savok). Applied July 6 to the About testimonial heading, the bio modal, and the homepage.
- FactOne About-page footer dropped the number entirely ("across tribal communities since 1985"). Everywhere else reads "575." I kept it at 575 for consistency — flag if you actually want the number gone there.
Events & schedule
Bucket C · belongs in the Events Manager
The doc rewrites the whole healing-group session list — but sessions are now data-driven (they render from data/events.json and are edited in the Events Manager, not in page copy). These should be entered there so they publish cleanly. I can also apply them to the data file directly if you'd rather I handle it.
- EventRemove the past Lame Deer (May 16) and Ashland (May 22) sessions
- EventSept/Oct/Nov dated Fairbanks & Anchorage sessions → "September 2026 · Fairbanks (dates TBC)" and "July 2026 · Robert's House" (register-interest, not fixed dates)
- EventOnline/Zoom block reworded to drop the fixed Aug 5–14 dates in favor of the general two-week format
- EventUpcoming list reworked: add Mar 13–14 · Military · Fairbanks and Apr 14–17 · Healing + Equipping · Winnebago, NE
- EventSeveral specific session detail modals (addresses, exact times) removed in favor of "register interest, dates to be confirmed"
Open questions for Robert & Jaylene
Bucket D · decisions, not copy
The team left these as comments in the doc. They're decisions or content we don't have yet — not text to paste. A few look already handled in an earlier round (marked below); please confirm.
- Q"Find a Healing Group / Become a Facilitator — where is the script?" — these buttons need destinations. Where should each link go?
- QAdd a section saying LIM comes where invited, and point others to the THI website for local facilitators? — Discussion question for Robert.
- Q"Stories & Updates" — make "Read the Devotional" a button? Should "Watch our story" link to all videos? Too many clicks to read quotes? — UX decisions for that section.
- QGospel-in-Native-culture statement — Jaylene wants a separate discussion (doctrine, religious law, cultural roots, pastoral discretion) before this copy is finalized.
- QFundraising line — "this is a selling moment, can it get more focus?" Flagged for a future copy pass on the donation ask.
- QHealing groups "at no cost… thanks to our generous donors" — needs further discussion before adding the donor framing.
- Q"$25 provides scripture materials" — does this cover materials, supplies, meals? Confirm what $25 funds.
- QHaskell — "a federally operated tribal university (do we need this statement?)" Keep or cut the descriptor?
- Q"Audited financials available — is this required?" Keep the line or remove?
- QHistory line — "partners, learners?, and friends" Is "learners" the right word? Confirm or replace.
- Likely done"Our Team — need photos and bios from board and staff" staff portraits shipped Staff bios + studio portraits are now live; board members still outstanding.
- Likely done"Why is Roberta in here twice?" / "remove the date here" (I Can Do All Things) appears resolved An earlier round removed the duplicate Roberta card and the blog date — please confirm on the live page.
- Resolved"Correct Inupiaq name" now "Kitigruq" site-wide Final spelling confirmed as Kitigruq and applied everywhere (About heading, bio modal, homepage) — July 6.

- NoiseForm fields where you@example.com turned into a mailto link and a garbled phone placeholder — Google Docs artifacts, ignored.
