# People of the Earth - Rev. David Sternbeck's Story

Rev. David Sternbeck (Nuu-chah-nulth), missionary-at-large serving all of Alaska, appreciates the richness of Native culture and traditions and its “people of the earth.” He also has a personal understanding of the kinds of darkness that robs them of so much goodness.
But that is not all. **David also has a message that he shares with them—the very one that changed him forever: the Gospel of Jesus Christ.**

In this video, David describes what it takes to share the Gospel in more than 200 remote Native villages. He and [his wife, Rosemary](https://lutheranindianministries.squarespace.com/blog/alaskainterior/if-it-were-not-for-volunteers), open their doors to volunteers and to young Native men and women who will become the next generation of Christian leaders in their communities.
